Parvin Lake Information
Location: Centerton (Pittsgrove Twp), Salem County, NJ
Size: 95 acres
Depth: Mean depth 3.7 feet. The only portions deeper than 4 feet are near the dam and in front of the bathing beach.
Ramp & Parking: Ramp doesn't have much incline and is made of very rough concrete, but it is adequate. There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot gets very crowded with hikers, bicyclists, dog walkers, etc on nice weather days.
Motor Limits: Electric trolling motors only.
Rules & Regulations: Located in Parvin State Park and
subject to all park rules. Having been designated by the State as a "Lunker Bass Program" lake, there is a 15" minimum all season and a 3 bass per person limit. In 2012 the park imposed a launch ramp fee of $12.00 per launch for
NJ residents and $20 for non-residents from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Annual permits can be purchased.
Comments: A lake with a low quantity of finicky fish; however, some very large bass (7 lbs +) are caught here on
occasion. A tournament permit is required for larger tournaments and the park requests that clubs report tournament results to them so that they can post them on their bulletin board. (parvinstatepark@snip.net)
