Mercer Lake Information
Location: Edinburg, NJ. Mercer County
Size: 275 acres
Depth: Maximum 20 feet.
Ramp and Parking: Good ramp. Lots of parking.
Motor Limits: Electric trolling motors only.
Comments: Located in Mercer County Park, next to Mercer County College. In 2004, a bass club was forced to cancel a public (benefit) tournament at Mercer Lake due to a demand by the county park that the host club obtain a large liability insurance policy. Many other clubs cancelled their
tournaments here for similar reasons. Also, there are often conflicts with the scullers (rowers) who use this lake for practice & competitions and, apparently, are given preferential treatment over fishermen.
Need for Morning Quiet?: No
Directions: From the south: Follow Route 295 north to the Trenton area. Continue on the Rt 295 beltway around the eastern side of Trenton. Get off at the exit for Route 1 (northeast). Follow Rt 1 to the Mercerville-Quakerbridge Road exit and travel southeast. After exiting Rt 1, Quakerbridge Mall will be on your right. Follow M-Q Road for a short distance to Hughes Drive on the left. Turn left onto Hughes Drive. Look for the entrance to the county park on the left. Follow the park entrance road to the parking area and boat ramp.
