Malaga Lake Information
Location: Malaga, NJ. Gloucester County
Size: 105 acres
Depth: Average 5.2 feet; Maximum approx 9 feet.
Ramp and Parking: There is a "beachfront" area on the western side of the lake at the end of Malaga Lake Boulevard where boats can be launched. Parking is permited along the beach, but not on posted private property. An aerial map of this beach area and the public/private property is posted in the Issues section of the SJBCA website. There is also a boat ramp at the city park on the east side of the lake, but it has so little incline that it is practically useless for boat launching. In addition, it is posted as being "for township residents" only.
Motor Limits: Electric trolling motors only.
Rules & Regulations:
Comments: This lake holds a good quantity of small bass. In-season vegetation is especially great for catching limits. Most of the bass are in the 11 to 14 inch range and under 2 lbs.

Directions: From Route 55: Get off at the Route 40 East (Malaga) exit. To get to ramp on west side of lake: Follow Rt 40 for about 1/4 mile to the first street on the left (Oak Ave). Turn onto Oak Ave and follow it until the third street on the right (Malaga Lake Blvd). Turn right onto Malaga
Lake Blvd and follow it to the beach area on the western side of the lake. To get to ramp on east side of lake: Follow Rt 40 for about 1/2 mile to Malaga Park Rd (formerly Old Delsea Drive). Turn left onto Malaga Park Drive and go about 1/2 mile to boat ramp entrance on left (after the
playground).
