Blackwood Lake Information
Location: Blackwood NJ. Camden County
Size: 25 Acres
Depth: 6' Max depth
Ramp and Parking: Car Top only, no boat ramp.
Motor Limits: No motors
Comments: Largemouth bass and pickerel are found all over this lake. On the south end they hold tight to cover in the stumps,(alot of stumps.) On the north end they fill the rocky bottoms, weed beds, and hold tight to the wall and dam on the roadside. Shad spawn up to the dam in the spring. Any time of day or night you can catch catfish, carp, and eel. If you are using live bait (shiners, minnows,
worms) and you are fishing for bass, pickerel, crappie, or bluegill, be for warned that a monster catfish will take down your bobber a give you a fight of a lifetime. The one truely amazing thing about this lake is that you can fish it year round, AND IT WILL BE PRODUCTIVE! Any lure with chartreuse color will trigger a strike from a bass... No, I'm not lying. The bass in this lake gobble up anything greenish-yellow. The main lake is most productive in the spring,
summer, and fall, but when old man winter rolls in, head to the dam. If you fish this lake with a boat you WILL have a good day. If you are fishing from the shore, just be a little patient, just a little, and you will have your day too.
